April the Fifteenth, comes every year…
…much pain this day brings, my emotions I check.

With much certainty, without fanfare cheer…
…blood pressure rising, an aching stiff neck.

Birth, death and taxes, are my guaranty…
…political games, we are all just pawns.

Presidential oaths, overboard goes tea…
…egg shells are cracking, on the White House lawn.

Taxes are rising, in the U.S.A…
…the rich get richer, across the country.

Some through deception, a bane game some play…
…I pay my fair share, but nothing comes free.

The midnight bell chime, beating like a drum…
…anger from within, the tax man did come.
