If I could get away with murder,
this is what I’d do: a) Find a pen,
preferably a Sharpie, to knife
an apple’s thin skin, Atom’s
blood curdled words spewed on the Page.
2) I would reach for a jug of bleach
to pour on to the Page, lobbying for
his or her dear life, words unspoken.
c) Open the bleach and cover the Page.
Thusly eliminating my Rage.
Author’s note: This poem was in response to a Google+ poetry prompt where the poem had to start off with: “If I could get away with murder, this is what I’d do:” The poem also had to include a rhyme.
