Today’s The Product Poet Poetry Prompt is to write a ode to one of your favorite singers or musicians. An ode is typically a song or lyric, considered to be passionate in nature and somewhat rhapsodic.
Perhaps get a little crazy and try a pindaric or choral ode, which is written in triads of three stanzas, with a *strophe and antistrophe that are matched with meter. Or get a little groovy and go with an Horatian ode, which has regular stanzas, with quatrains.
Some of my favorite odes come from John Keats and one of my favorite poets of all time, Pablo Neruda, such as An Ode To Salt.
